PhotoBroom is an iPhone and iPad app that finds duplicate photos, screenshots and oversized videos in your photo library and helps you delete them. It is built byaisoftware, an independent software developer, and published on the App Store as PhotoBroom: Duplicate Cleaner. All analysis runs on your device — no media is uploaded, and no account is required.

Why it works this way
On device, because a photo library is not ours to hold
Every photo cleaner that scans in the cloud ends up holding a copy of your camera roll. PhotoBroom runs Apple’s Vision framework on your iPhone instead, so your photos, your thumbnails and everything derived from them stay on the device. There is no account to make, nothing to upload, and no server of ours that could be breached, subpoenaed or sold.
Metered, not locked
Cleaner apps usually hide the result of the scan until you pay — the gigabytes are the pitch, so the gigabytes are the hostage. PhotoBroom shows the whole result and opens every category to everyone, then meters how fast a free user can delete: 50 items a day, plus 2 large videos. You always know what you are getting before deciding whether to pay for it.
A keep is reversible; a delete is not
Every decision to keep a photo is recorded and can be undone from the Kept list, which is why the app never quietly discards the grouping that produced it. Deletions go through the iOS confirmation sheet and land in Recently Deleted, where iOS holds them for 30 days.
